Fun Fact: The Iron Horse Bike Classic began in 1972. Road
bikers race the D&SNGRR to Silverton on Memorial Day weekend. It is the
longest continuously run cycling event in the United States.
SPECIAL EVENTS: We take biking seriously, so you may want to
plan to be here for one of our several annual biking events, which include the
Iron Horse Bicycle Classic where you can race the train to Silverton, the MTB
100, a 100-mile bike race through the San Juan Mountains, or the Ski Bike America
Festival, the perfect combination of winter fun and biking.
