Since our founding in 1906, Bayfield has been an agricultural, cattle, and sheep ranching hub. Today, Bayfield proper is home to some two thousand; for many more area residents we act as the commercial and cultural center of the eastern county.
Our historic downtown Mill St. district retains much of its early charm and vitality, while our more recent business growth is hosted in the Bayfield Center business park and our Commerce Drive retail district, both just north of US Highway 160.
