Durango Kids

Durango offers an array of fun activities for kids of all ages, making it one of the top Colorado family travel destinations in the state. Enjoy an afternoon exploring the Durango Discovery Museum or splashing, swimming and rock climbing at the Durango Community Recreation Center. Take a trip to the Southern Ute Cultural Center and learn about the area’s earliest inhabitants, or get the creative juices flowing with a kids class at the Durango Arts Center.

During the summer months, Durango Mountain Resort turns into a veritable playground for kids of all ages with the Alpine Slide, a rock wall, mountain biking, and so much more. Kids can also enjoy day- or summer-long kids camps! In the winter, rent sleds at one of our area alpine shops and hit the slopes for some fast and furious downhill action that just about anyone can enjoy.
