The Durango Melodrama & Vaudeville
at the Henry Strater Theatre
Located in the historic Strater hotel in Durango, Colorado, this great little theatre has been putting on shows and Melodrama since the early 1960’s when it housed the Diamond Circle Melodrama. Now, the Durango Melodrama has taken its place and proudly presents its summer production of “The Tavern” by George M Cohen with shows on Tuesdays thru Sundays from June 11 thru August 21st. As always, the show will be followed by a hilarious set of Vaudeville routines that are sure to end the night with a laugh and a song. You can hiss the villain, cheer the Hero, well you know the rest! This beautiful theatre is just the right setting for an affordable night of family fun and camaraderie. Blues on the Rails
Choo Choo with the blues… it was no ordinary ride on the scenic steam train and I missed it. The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge train pulled out of the rail yard last Saturday as the “Durango Blues Train” for an evening of Blues on the Rails.
