Looking for a fun and different way to enjoy your family vacation this year? Join us for our first Family Mountain Bike Camp Adventure in Durango, Colorado.
Durango Mountain Bike Camp uses Durango Mountain Resort as our base camp where we spend 3 days mountain biking in the San Juan National Forest surrounding the resort and enjoying the colorful wild flowers. The trails and the atmosphere at the resort will help you “create family memories”.
We will teach bike handling skills, basic mechanically skills and enjoy some beautiful and somewhat “secret” trails. Translation, you may not see anyone who is not part of the camp while we are out riding.
The dates are July 11-13. The sessions will begin at 9:00 and end at 2:00 at Durango Mountain Resort. Any combination of child and adult is welcome.
Cost: $200.00 per person for the camp, lodging and meal are not included. It is our goal for your family to laugh, ride and love every minute with us at our camp. Visit www.durangomountainbikecamp.com to enroll.
Lodging is available at Durango Mountain Resort or there are variety of lodging facilities in Durango.www.durango.org
Why in Durango?
“Simply because there is no other city that offers as much variety and spice. Whether you’re riding the Colorado trail, visiting the Ancestral Puebloan sites at Mesa Verde National Park, riding “Test Track,” shopping downtown, doing loops in the mountain bike playground that the Trails 2000 has made available, or simply lying by the Animas River watching the clouds float by, Durango has it all.” --Zapata Espinoza, formerly executive editor, Mountain Bike magazine.
Durango Mountain Resort hosted the first ever World Mountain Bike Championships in 1990, hosted a World Cup in 03 and the National Mountain Bike Championships in 2002, 2003 and 2004.
