Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad Offers Romance on the Rails for Valentine’s Day
Durango, CO –The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad is offering a train and dinner package as a unique way to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Passengers will enjoy an afternoon train ride to Cascade Canyon and return in the evening for dinner and music at the Strater Hotel.
Dinner entrée options include Filet of Salmon, Maple Rosemary Chicken Breast or Pork Loin with Fig Cream Sauce and are paired with complementary side dishes and dessert. Music will be provided by harpist Sylvia Zurko.
The train departs Durango at 1:00 pm and returns at 6:00 pm. Dinner at the Strater Hotel is from
6:30 pm – 8:00 pm. Packages available for this trip are the First-Class Parlor Car at $139 person (ages 21 and over), including train ride, onboard sweets, champagne with keepsake flute, dinner and music; the Deluxe-Class San Juan Car (ages 12 and over) at $119 per person, with the same amenities; or Standard-Class Coach (all ages) at $89 per person, including train ride, dinner, and music.
