Ride Two-for-One on the Snowdown Balloon Rally Train
Durango, CO –The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad is again the proud sponsor of the Snowdown Balloon Rally Mass Ascension on Saturday, January 30, 2010. As part of the celebration, the D&SNGRR will be running a Snowdown Balloon Rally Train, offering passengers the chance to view the mass ascension overhead from the comfort of heated train coaches. The railroad is offering two-for-one Standard-Class tickets for this train (second ticket must be of equal or lesser value).
Passengers will enjoy complimentary donuts and non-alcoholic beverages in the Animas Valley, where the train will stop for the colorful mass hot-air balloon ascension. Following the balloon adventure, the train will continue to Cascade Canyon for a short break by the Animas River before returning to Durango.
The train departs Durango at 8:00 a.m. and returns by approximately 1:30 p.m.
Light lunch items are available for purchase on the concession car. Tickets are $59* per adult and $39* per child. First-Class Parlor Car tickets are available for $89* (ages 21 and over). Call (970) 247-2733 for tickets. *Fares are subject to a 4% Historic Preservation Fee.
