Colorado Meetings + Events magazine announces
2010 Best Of Colorado award winners & Hall of Fame inductees

Denver, Colorado, March 19, 2010— The best of the meetings and events industry was on display March 15 as 600+ planners and suppliers applauded the industry’s finest at the fourth annual Colorado Meetings + Events magazine Best Of Colorado awards celebration at The Denver Art Museum.  The event was the kick-off for the first-ever Meetings Week coordinated by the Meetings Industry Council of Colorado.

The readers’ choice awards honor the dedication and creativity of event professionals who have earned the respect and admiration of their clients and peers. The award winners for all 21 categories were selected through an online reader poll.

Best Attraction (Denver metro area) – Denver Zoo
Best Attraction (Outside Denver metro area) – Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Colorado Springs

In addition to the 21 Best Of categories, there are four Editor’s Pick awards.  These are chosen by the Colorado Meetings + Events editor Beth Buehler to identify businesses that are offer something unique for the meetings and events industry.

Best Unique Private Dining Space – Sevens, Steamboat Sheraton Resort
Best Light-Hearted Place to Meet – The Curtis, Denver
Best Teambuilding Activity – Soaring Tree Top Adventures, Durango area
Best Up-and Coming Venue – Gateway Canyons Resort, Gateway

For the third year, Colorado Meetings + Events also recognized eight Hall of Fame inductees, chosen by the magazine’s 16-member editorial advisory board made up of industry professionals from around the state.
