Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad Presents Cowboy Poet Train
Durango, CO –The Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad is offering its third-annual Cowboy Poet Train on Friday, October 1, 2010. The train ride to Cascade Canyon will feature great music and poetry from some of the top entertainers featured at the 22nd Annual Durango Cowboy Poetry Gathering.
This special excursion will travel 26 miles through the San Juan National Forest to Cascade Canyon during peak autumn colors. Cowboy entertainers will perform in each car throughout the ride and during the lunch stop at Cascade Canyon. Fare includes a BBQ brisket lunch, beverage, dessert and all the entertainment. Full beverage service and additional concession items are available for purchase onboard the train.
The train departs Durango at 10:00 am and returns at 3:30 pm. Standard-Class fares are $74* for adults (age 12 and over) and $49* for Children (age 4-11). Deluxe-Class Prospector Car seating is $109* for all ages. Presidential-Class Nomad seating (age 21 and over) is $149* and includes special amenities. *Fares subject to 4% Historic Preservation Fee.
