DURANGO, CO – The award-winning wildlife painter Edward Aldrich will lead a 3-day oil painting workshop at Sorrel Sky Gallery on February 10-12, 2012. “Painting Animals” is the second instructional workshop in Sorrel Sky Gallery’s Winter Workshop Series featuring top artists from the Southwest.
Aldrich’s breathtaking renditions of wildlife are featured in museums across the United States, including The Rockwell Museum and National Wildlife Art Museum. His work has also been auctioned at Christie’s in London and at the Buffalo Bill Auction in Cody, WY. “Drawing and Painting Animals” by Edward Aldrich was first published in 1998.
“Painting Animals” will be a highly specialized workshop in which Mr. Aldrich will focus on drawing and painting animals in their natural habitats. Students will learn how to depict feathers and fur in a realistic manner using mounted animals as their models.
