Nominate Durango for BeerCity USA 2012

DURANGO, Colo. – To help further its reputation as the “Napa Valley of Craft Beer,” Durango, Colo., is seeking nomination as BeerCity USA 2012 on Examiner.com, a “go-to” web site for craft brewing aficionados. Cast a vote for Durango directly at http://polldaddy.com/poll/6088037/ before midnight April 21, 2012. (Only one vote per IP address is allowed.)
“This is just the first round of voting,” said Kris Oyler, Steamworks Brewing Co. and board president of the Durango Area Tourism Office (DATO). “If we’re nominated for the final ballot, we then will need folks to vote again during the first two weeks of May so we can earn the title of BeerCity USA 2012. Not only do we deserve the honor, the recognition will guarantee Durango significant national and even international notoriety.”
The BeerCity competition on Examiner.com comes under the watchful eye of Charlie Papazian, the author of The Complete Joy of Homebrewing, and founder of the Great American Beer Festival, the American Homebrewers Association and the Association of Brewers. He is the “Beer Examiner.”
