  • 802 E 2nd Ave, Durango, CO 81301
  • Tel: (970) 259-2606

This very special art program will begin Monday, June 5th, where students will begin the art of sculpture, also studying the art history of larger than life sculpture masterpieces, and how this artwork is created. On Tuesday, students will learn to create fabric art. Wednesday, illustrating a children's book, while we explore drawing, painting and many other mediums. Thursday we will complete our projects and present an art show to the parents and community. During this GOAL session, three guest artists will teach in their areas of expertise, sculpture, textile art and fashion design, and also a tattooist who is an incredible illustrator! These artists will mentor the students through this process while sharing their work and lives as artists. A different lesson on leadership, integrity and self confidence each day by memorable community members. Please Join Us, this is a class you don't want to miss!
For questions, please email Deena Carney, Director of Art Education, at deena@durangoarts.org. Scholarships Available!
