This Arts Intensive, Summer Program will occur Saturday and Sunday, June 10th and 11th. On that weekend, we will be creating Large Environmental, Wheat Paste Murals! We will be hiking and camping on Saturday and Sunday, July 8th and 9th at the Kendrick/Carney Ranch. During this month, we will discover the process of coil pots and pit-firing like the “Ancestral Puebloan" people of this region. We will also try plein air painting. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, August 11th, 12th, and 13th, will be our trip to explore great works of art in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Lessons on leadership from our community members are always a part of this program. Artists teach in their areas of expertise and mentor the students by sharing their work and lives as artists. For questions, please email Deena Carney, Director of Education at deena@durangoarts.org. Scholarships and payment plans are available!
Senior GOAL offers young people, ages 14 to 17, regardless of expression or identity, the opportunity to experience art, leadership, and art-based opportunities.
