Join a DNS Naturalist / Artist to celebrate Colorado Public Lands Day by exploring the beauty and complexity of our local plant life through drawing and sketching.  Sharpen your observational senses with a creative practice that will connect you to nature in a focused and intimate experience.  A 20-30 minute group lesson regarding basic techniques of mark-making will be followed by a 90 minute “free draw” during which the instructor will offer one-on-one instruction to participants.  All skill levels welcome.  Please bring your own dry media (graphite, charcoal, pastels, conte crayon, etc.) and substrate (paper, sketchbook, wood, canvas, art panel).

Contact Kiley Smith at 816-786-5449, or kiley@durangonaturestudies.org for more information or to register!

DNS workshops are free for members and kids under 12, $10 for non members
