Jackson Clark will give a lecture on Sallie Wagner Lippincott, who bought Wide Ruins Trading Post in 1932 and encouraged the Navajo women to use vegetal dyes. Come and listen to this fabulous story of an East Coast debutante who moved to the Navajo reservation and permanently changed Navajo weaving. Gallery Walk is the following night, Friday, September 20th from 5 until 8 pm, and will feature the weavings of the Sallie Wagner Lippincott Collection, along with some jewelry and a Helen Cordero Stroyteller from Sallie's collection.
