Apple Orchard Inn

The Apple Orchard Inn was purpose-built as a Bed & Breakfast in 1993 and has been welcoming guests for more than 30 years. Nestled in the scenic Animas Valley—just 8 miles north of Durango, Colorado—the inn offers breathtaking mountain views, vibrant fall colors, and award-winning gardens. Landscaped grounds feature flowing brooks, charming footbridges, tranquil ponds, and a vintage apple orchard. Perfectly located near all the Four Corners region has to offer, the inn is just 15–20 minutes from both downtown Durango and Purgatory Ski Resort, and only minutes from the Durango Hot Springs Resort & Spa. Accommodations The property features six private cottages arranged around a peaceful back courtyard, as well as four comfortable guest rooms upstairs in the main house. All cottages and rooms include: Private bathrooms (with walk-in showers or shower/tub combinations) Wireless internet Ultra-high-definition smart TVs Cozy radiant heat and air conditioning The cottages each have a covered front porch, with some also offering private back patios. While ideal for couples (nightly rates are per couple), several cottages can accommodate up to four guests, making them a great choice for families. Children of all ages are welcome in the cottages. The four upstairs rooms in the main house are also priced per couple and can sleep up to four adults. To maintain a peaceful environment, children under the age of 8 are not permitted in these rooms. Dining Each morning from 7:30–9:30, guests can enjoy a fresh, home-cooked breakfast served by your friendly host in the main dining room or on the back patio (weather permitting). Homemade fruit pies are available for purchase by the slice or whole, either baked or frozen for take-and-bake. Breakfast is also available to non-guests with a reservation.
