The La Plata County Fairgrounds, located on 32 acres of green space in the Durango's North Main district, hosts a variety of events ranging from the County Fair to national conventions.  The facilities include a 10,000 square foot exhibit hall, 5 spacious meeting rooms, a rodeo arena complete with grandstands and livestock pens, an additional pavilion for livestock shows, two baseball fields and open spaces for weddings, family reunions and other outdoor events.
Annual events such as the La Plata County Fair and Fiesta Days celebrate our community's southwestern lifestyle. The La Plata County Fair is held in early August.Â
