Visit Durango is proud to announce a film over one year in the making, “Send It Like A Local” - A love story between snow sliders and the San Juan Mountains. Filmed by local cinematographers in Durango, La Plata County, and the immediate surrounding area, the film features local legends and visiting pros shredding at Chapman Hill, Purgatory Mountain Resort, and all over the San Juan backcountry.
This one-of-a-kind snowboard and ski film showcases the visiting Never Summer Snowboards pro team including Sam Anderson, Matt Williams, Emily O’Conner, Sam Klein, Chris Church, Jess Tennyson, Skylar Gallardo and more getting pulled into a 100’ waterfall rail by a motorcycle at Durango Harley Davidson, night session at Chapman Hill, plus an insane sunset shoot at Purg Parks, and guided tour of Mark’s Park by none other than the legend himself, Mark Daley.
Local Burton, Anon, and Backcountry Access rider Kam Weakly earn some absolutely insane turns on some iconic peaks around La Plata Country. Kam and other local legends like Brett Summers, Jackie Summers, Dave Sugnet, Mark Daley, John Ragozzino, Griffin Pinto, Andrew Wight, Ned Daly, and more on an epic pow day with Purgatory Snowcat Adventures and ripping all over the mountains around Durango, Colorado.
Don’t miss the premiere of the full-length snowboard and ski film “Send It Like A Local” at 6 p.m. on November 18 at Animas City Theatre! 21+.
